The Computing & Digital Innovation Service offers the following subscriptions for special schools:

Enhanced 3 days of consultancy + 2 staff meetings, email support, curriculum resources & video content, equipment loan (physical computing kit), plus unlimited places on courses £2295

Consultancy

Consultancy time can be used to best suit your school priorities. Examples include:

  • Developing an effective computing curriculum to meet the needs of your learners, including mixed age classes
  • Planning time with year teams to support the implementation of the computing curriculum
  • Team teaching exemplar lessons
  • Advice around assessment and evidencing of computing
  • Support for ECTs and new computing leads
  • Developing an AI strategy

Staff meetings can cover a range of subjects, for example: key pedagogy and concepts in computing, supporting EAL learners with technology, using AI to reduce workload, developing problem-solving in computing.

  • Image-supported computing glossaries, broken down by strand and year
  • Assessment quizzes for every unit (mapped to Sheffield scheme of work, but easily adapted to other curricula)
