Secondary Schools

The Computing & Digital Innovation Service offers the following subscriptions for secondary schools:

Basic Initial check-in with computing head of department (1 hour video call), email support, curriculum resources, community of practice (3 meetings) £325
Standard 1 day of consultancy, email support, curriculum resources, community of practice (3 meetings), plus 5 places on courses £825

Consultancy

Consultancy time can be used to best suit the school priorities. Examples include:

  • Developing an effective computing curriculum to meet the needs of your learners
  • Coaching for teachers new to subject leadership
  • Moderation for GCSE Computer Science
  • Raising attainment in all key stages
  • Supporting non-specialists in computing
  • Developing an AI strategy

The community of practice will promote networking between schools, support for delivery of qualifications, moderation and enrichment ideas.

Curriculum Resources

All subscribers will have access to the following resources, with more in development:

  • Image-supported computing glossaries
  • Baseline assessments
  • Resources for SEND learners
  • AI lessons for KS3

From September 2025 we will be offering a programme of online (remotely-facilitated) and face-to-face courses for secondary schools, for example:

  • Artificial Intelligence & ethical considerations in Computing
  • Exploring the micro:bit for KS3 programming
  • AI tools to enhance the curriculum
  • AI for Senior Leaders
