Area based Education Partnerships Association
Learn Sheffield is a founding member of the Association of Education Partnerships. The members of the association are a group of education partnerships across England, who began meeting informally in a group co-chaired by Baroness Estelle Morris and Christine Gilbert CBE. The Association was formed to continue sharing experiences and ideas in order to expand the conversation to all the other parts of the education eco system that impacts on children and young people.
AEPA has six core beliefs:
- Place still matters
- Collaboration is everywhere but it is often inward looking
- We need new ways of working with Local Authorities
- Unintended consequences leave too many behind
- Social, emotional and cultural capital is also our responsibility
- Partnerships need a national presence and voice
