Systemic Issues: Staff Training Resources

Systemic issues are problems or flaws that are inherent in overall systems, and can't be reduced to isolated issues. The resources below have been created to support education settings to consider how to approach such issues. They have been created in partnership by Learn Sheffield and Opus as staff training resources. They were launched in the autumn of 2022 as part of the Autumn Online Festival. These launch sessions are also included below.

The aim of these resources is to give education staff the knowledge, shared language and confidence to discuss how to approach these issues. Four resources have been produced, relating to the climate crisis, racial equity, gendered violence and poverty and inequality. We intend to continue to develop resources and welcome any feedback.
