Spring 2 Leader Briefing Published

This half term's online leader briefing has been published. It includes updates on Social and Emotional Learning, the new Early Years Framework, HAF, IAPT, the National Tutoring Programme, Beat the Streets & Primary RSHE training.

It includes a number of updates this time – some new and some recorded from sessions over the past couple of weeks:

o  Rob Newton from Huntington Research School has provided a short session about Social and Emotional Learning to recap the research in this area to support our work as we emerge from the pandemic.

o  Vicky Carr (SCC Early Years Lead) has been holding briefings for leaders on the new Early Years Statutory Framework over the past few days. A recording of the input to these sessions is in the briefing to revisit this and support colleagues to share this in school.

o  Jess Wilson (from the Public Health team) has provided a short input about the DfE HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme.  

o  Sian Wray provides an input from the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) team about a new course on offer.

o  The recording of the recent DfE briefing about the National Tutoring Programme is included.

o  An introduction from the PESSPA Alliance about Beat the Street which comes to Sheffield in the summer term.

o  Additional mop up RSHE training for primary teachers (see below). 

o  Latest Covid situation report from Greg Fell – note that the next briefing is Wednesday 21 April at 11am
