Learn Sheffield COVID Recovery Festival: Catching Up & Cracking On

We will be organising a series of events throughout September to support the COVID recovery work that is happening across the city.  All of the sessions in this festival will be held online and be available for participating schools to attend and also recorded so that colleagues can access the sessions whenever it is most convenient.  We also hope that this will enable colleagues to use the content in their own leadership meetings and staff training.

More information about the programme will be shared shortly but sessions vary from the big picture (e.g. Sir David Carter on leadership) to the very specific (e.g. the role of singing in the music curriculum).  Session inputs may come from presenters or schools and academies sharing practice and reflections will also be shared throughout the festival via blogs to summarise learning and panels to support the identification of future city work streams.

The festival will contain around thirty events across the month and the cost of the festival for Learn Sheffield members will be the equivalent of half a day of LSIP time (£300) so that subscribing schools can use a small element of their subscription entitlement to cover the cost.

Schools outside Sheffield can also attend the festival at a cost of £400 per school. School partnerships, MATs and LAs who are interested in a package for a group of schools should contact stephen.betts@learnsheffield.co.uk to discuss this.
