COVID-19 Re-shaping of our meeting calendar

We have taken the decision to re-shape our meeting calendar for meetings that are planned to happen, initially on this side of the Easter holiday but likely beyond that.

We will contact colleagues about each specific planned meeting on a case by case basis but the Leaders Briefing sessions (on Thursday 26th March) and the Public Service Forum (on the same date) will be postponed to a later date.

In addition the Spring Subject Network Meetings which were due to take place this week (week commencing 16th March) have also been cancelled.

The more immediate agenda items will be recorded and shared electronically but most items, including the key notes, will be delayed.

This is to enable school leaders to prioritise their schools and to minimise the risk of schools leaders (who are a key part of our strategic infrastructure) and other colleagues needing to be away from their schools in the future.

We believe these are sensible decisions that prioritise continuity at a difficult time and will enable us to maintain business as usual, albeit adapted business.  I know that many of you are also adapting your approaches and we are working with colleagues across the city to maximise the use of technology to enable essential activity to continue. Wherever we can deliver the planned communication or content through a different means this will be accessed.

Further information will follow in due course about specific meetings and we will take decisions about future changes as we get closer to events and have up to date public health information.
