LS Education have published a booklet containing information about their consultancy, training, digital and governance services, along with some examples of targeted bespoke packages. These services are available for anyone to access but the booklet may be especially useful for settings and trusts outside Sheffield.

Built for Change - Learning In Warm and Hot Weather Toolkit

Warm and hot weather affects many Sheffield schools, and with the climate changing, this is expected to worsen in coming years. Hot weather negatively affects learning, attendance and wellbeing, and can make parts of schools unusable.
Emergency Response Toolkit Available

The Emergency Response Kit has been developed as part of Learn Sheffield's SAFE Taskforce programme. It provides schools, education professionals and parents/carers with rapid, trauma-informed psychological tools and guidance to help children make sense of distressing events, feel emotionally supported, and regain a sense of control.
Learn Sheffield Leadership Conference- Friday 10 July 2026

The Sheffield Leadership Conference will take place on Friday 10 July 2026 at Niagara Conference and Leisure. The keynote speaker will be Laura Bates, and the event will focus on the numerous challenges facing children and young people today, and how educational settings can support them.

The Sheffield Performance Analysis 2025 has now been published. It provides analysis of attainment & progress, Ofsted judgements, attendance, exclusions, SEND and other pupil characteristics. It also identifies the trails for further investigation and the activities that are planned to address these in the coming months.

They are being shared on behalf of the Local Area SEND Partnership, which includes Sheffield City Council, South Yorkshire ICB, Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Parent Carer Forum and Learn Sheffield.

Healthy Child Development Work- Expressions of Interest

Expressions of interest are invited for a partner organisation or group of organisations to contribute to the next phase of development of Sheffield’s Healthy Child Development model. The deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 23 February. You may be required to attend an in person meeting to share your ideas with the group of experts working across the NHS, Education, Early Years, Social Care and Voluntary Sector who are developing the Sheffield Healthy Child Development model.

AEPA briefing - The Schools White Paper with Sir Kevan Collins - 27 February, 9-10am

We are delighted to confirm that Sir Kevan Collins, the lead non-executive board member at the Department for Education, will be joining us for a webinar on the Schools White Paper, which was released earlier this week. He will join us for a briefing on Friday 27 February between 9am and 10am. Following his presentation, he will take questions from the AEPA audience.
