Central In-Person Training
The training offer has changed significantly in response to your feedback. It is now scoped around the concept of ‘supporting the whole team’ to include more options for a wider range of colleagues and roles in each setting or MAT. This is an important change, which widens the impact of training beyond just leaders, as it has been in previous years.
The offer is now more accessible and now includes self-directed and on-site options to the existing in-person or online central training. This responds to the challenge leaders have faced in being able to release colleagues for training.
We have training programmes in place for Primary Assessment / Subject Leader Networks / Strategic Leadership Courses (can you hyperlink these to the relevant pages on the website please).
Cost – The training courses listed on this page are included within the LS Education: Training subscription package. This package forms part of the School Improvement subscription but can also be purchased as a standalone offer. Settings that subscribe to this package receive unlimited access to the courses listed below, where available. For settings that do not subscribe, individual course fees apply, with details provided alongside each course.

| Safer Recruitment for Governors & School Leaders |
|
Course Information
This course is designed for all staff and governors involved in school recruitment. The course will look at the ways we can identify and deter unsuitable candidates, while embedding a strong safeguarding ethos into the culture of your school.
KCSIE 2026 states that ‘It is vital that as part of their whole school or college approach to safeguarding governing bodies and proprietors create a culture that safeguards and promotes the welfare of children in their school or college.
