We are in the process of pulling together a briefing for schools to support business continuity planning during the current public health situation.

We are in the process of pulling together a briefing for schools to support business continuity planning during the current public health situation.

This work is being led by Andrew Jones (SCC) and I in liaison with colleagues from Public Health and other bodies.

It will include information about:

·        Public Health guidance and support

·        Sheffield City Council updates

·        Communication platforms that can be used by staff and approaches to support continuity of learning

·        Safeguarding issues and poverty/hunger related issues

This information will be shared electronically rather than via a meeting. This is to enable school leaders to prioritise being in school and so they are able to share and discuss more widely with colleagues within school.

The information will be shared as soon as possible but by Thursday (19th March) next week when the next bulletin for schools is planned.

If you have questions or topics that you would like to be covered by the briefing then please send these to Learn Sheffield by replying to this email.

After the briefing has been shared you will also be able to ask questions. These will be collated and answered electronically or with direct calls and conference calls where appropriate.

Further information will follow in due course (including another email shortly about changes to planned meetings and training activities) but we felt it was important that you are aware that this work is taking place.
