Autumn 1 Leader Briefing Available

The first leader briefing of the year has been published. We are now using an online newsletter which includes video inputs as well as text and links to information. In addition to adjusting to COVID restrictions, we hope that this will be more efficient for leaders - taking less time overall and also being easier to digest at different times.
Funded Opportunities 2020/21 Launched

The 'Sheffield Programmes & Opportunities 2020/21' booklet has been launched containing a range of funded programmes for Sheffield schools and Academies. A twilight information session about the 'Making the Difference' programme will take place on Tuesday 3 November at 4:30pm.
PESSPA Champion Schools & Leaders Recruitment

Learn Sheffield would like to recruit a small team of PESSPA Champion Schools and Leaders on behalf of the PESSPA Alliance. This team will support the delivery of a significant PESSPA project funded by the DfE to support improvements in PE leadership and teaching.
Learn Sheffield Primary Curriculum Team Recruitment

Learn Sheffield would like to recruit a small team of primary school leaders to form a curriculum team. This team will work alongside other members of the Learn Sheffield team and sometimes, when appropriate, identified consultants and specialists. They will work on identified priorities in order to develop guidance, training and resources that support Sheffield schools and academies to develop their curriculum offer.
Public Health School Leader Briefing Announced

Greg Fell (Director of Public Health) and Bethan Plant will be doing a third School Leader Briefing of the year. It will take place on the first day back after half term on Monday 2 November (1-2pm). The link for the online session has been emailed out to school leaders today.
COVID Recovery Festival Audience Passes 1000

It's got loads of great content, including details of FREE school membership to Food for Life, FREE school resources from TastEd and Sheffield is Sweet Enough and FREE Weight Management courses for children and their families via Live Lighter.
Learn Sheffield October Opportunities Bulletin Out!

Autumn Term Ofsted Interim Visits Briefing

As Ofsted are carrying out visits to schools during the Autumn Term, two of our primary schools that were involved in pilot visits conducted by HMI in September will be offering a session for school leaders where they will share their experience of the pilot visits with you.
Primary Middle Leader Training Offer

The Learn Sheffield Improvement Team have been working on middle leader training for primary schools. This training is aimed at curriculum / subject / middle leaders and is a continuation of previous training relating to the curriculum.
