Developing Healthy Attitudes
Project Outline
The Developing Healthy Attitudes Project is commissioned by the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit through Learn Sheffield. The aim is to support schools to deliver high quality, student voice and trauma informed RSHE provision across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield.
We aim to do this by providing increased knowledge and resources for schools to enrich and strengthen their Personal Development Strategy and therefore ultimately equip young people with increased knowledge and skills to support the aims of the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit.
The South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit aims to reduce violent crime using preventative public health methods. Its aims closely reflect the areas covered by the DFE statutory Guidance for Relationships Sex and Health Education 2019. This project aims to enrich the universal RSHE provision to all students in South Yorkshire, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield thus giving the opportunity for mass exposure to the SYVRU aims.
The Project consists of the following 8 areas:
