White Ribbon Day 2025: #WeSpeakUp

Published: 17 November 2025
Tuesday 25th November is White Ribbon Day 2025. On this day, people around the world stand up against the many and varied types of violence and abuse that women and girls face. These include domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, and catcalling. Violence against women and girls can happen both on and offline.

Tuesday 25th November is White Ribbon Day 2025.

This year’s theme is #WeSpeakUp. Letting sexism slide puts women and girls at risk. Sexist jokes, catcalling, staring, and comments might seem harmless, but they are serious because they can lead to violence and abuse.

As a White Ribbon Supporter Organisation, Learn Sheffield is co-ordinating an awarness campaign with colleagues and holding a fundraising event. You can find out more information about our involvement here: https://www.learnsheffield.co.uk/About-Us/White-Ribbon

This White Ribbon Day, we want more men to use their voices and speak up to create a world where everyone is safe, equal, and respected.  Every time we ignore something that doesn’t feel right, we miss a chance to set a better example.
