Early Years CPD Offer

Sessions on our Early Years CPD programme are available to book, with details listed on our website. The offer includes a series of courses run by Ruth Swailes, including network sessions for leaders and practitioners, and a bespoke offer from Angela Lant. There are also two Early Years courses on offer as part of our Strategic Leadership Programme.

Ruth Swailes will be leading a number of sessions starting in the spring term, including the below sessions.

Effective Assessment in the Early Years will take place on Friday 19 January from 9.00am-12.00pm  Book here

 

This session will be followed by an Early Years Network session, which will provide leaders and teachers with the opportunity to hear about the latest news and developments and reflect on what these might mean for their own practice. This session will also determine the content for training sessions later in the summer term. Book here

Ruth Swailes is also leading two Strategic Leadership courses on the Early Years- one aimed at school leaders, the other aimed at Early Years practitioners. More details can be found here or by emailing bookings@learnsheffield.co.uk

Early Years Literacy Development  is being offered by Angela Lant and is based on the EEF’ Preparing for Literacy’ guidance report. There will be time to explore the 7 areas of the report and how these relate to specific settings. This is a half day course with the option of a full day of follow up in individual settings.

A Bespoke Early Years Professional Development Offer is also offered by Angela Lant. It consists of a series of 6 school visits throughout the year with a bespoke programme aimed at developing the leaders understanding of all aspects of Early Years. This professional development programme could be run as a 1:1 package, as a development for all the leaders of Early Years in a Trust, a collaboration of Early Years leaders and Headteacher, deputy or assistant Headteacher.

Learn Sheffield subscribing schools will have unlimited access (subject to availability) for this programme, other than the bespoke offer. For non-subscribing schools, each session will be charged at £95 per person.
