Sheffield is Sweet Enough

Sheffield is Sweet Enough’ is a city wide initiative. It was launched by Sheffield City Council in partnership with healthcare professionals, Sheffield’s universities, Learn Sheffield (Eat Smart Sheffield), Weight Management Services, education settings, and the voluntary sector. Its aim is to inspire a social movement to help reduce obesity and tooth decay in Sheffield over the next five years.

The initiative provides information to local people on the effects of too much sugar and gives them the tools they need to make informed choices that support their family’s health. Visit their website - sheffieldissweetenough.org - for lots of interesting facts about sugar, guideline daily limits and top tops for sugar swaps to keep your family healthy.

The launch event was held at Woodthorpe Primary School - one of Eat Smart Sheffield's Year 1 targeted support schools - who have been using SiSE educational materials as part of their classroom learning.
