For You, as a School Leader

Back to Homepage

The Learn Sheffield website has plenty of relevant content for you if you are a leader in a Sheffield school, academy or multi-academy trust.

Leaders' Briefings and Public Service ForumPrevious editions of the monthly Opportunities Bulletin and the termly Leaders’ Update, which you will receive by email, can be found in the documents section of the website.

Information and booking links for the termly Leaders' Briefings & Public Service Forum can be found in the training and events section of the website. The new-look briefings are now accompanied by the new Public Service Forum, which provides an opportunity to share information from other public service partners with school leaders and provide a forum for discussion.

The Leadership Training programme is also in this section and included within the Learn Sheffield subscription. These sessions are designed for new, aspiring and existing leaders, with themes focused on the practical aspects of a leaders’ role. You can also find access to the Research Led Sheffield programme, Governance Training, Subject Networks and primary statutory assessment and moderation training in this part of the website.

Learn Sheffield SubscriptionIf you are looking for support from our services, then you can find out more about the School Improvement Services that are available or check out the current information about the Learn Sheffield Subscription Offer.

In the same section you can also find links to the Data Analysis service, the Governance Improvement service (which provides clerking), the eLearning service and the Communications service.

GDPRYou may also be seeking advice in relation to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We can help your school to become, and remain, compliant with the Data Protection Act through a range of support activities and include the provision of a named Data Protection Officer (DPO).

If you are looking for information about city strategy, then you may be interested in the School Improvement Strategy or the system leaders directory – which includes information about National Leaders of Governance. Sheffield’s Education Strategy is being revisited this year and more information about this will be found on the website later in the year.

The Inclusion Task Force website contains several useful links – including to guidance and resources, training and the improvement programme.

There are also an array of other partners who may be of interest but, for example, you may want to look more closely at information about PE, School Sport & Physical Activity on the PESSPA Alliance pages (which includes the new PESSPA Primary Toolkit) or find out more about Eat Smart Sheffield or the SACRE pages to access RE resources.

Later in the year the RSE Task Group pages will host the Relationship and Sex Education resources that are currently being developed, along with information about the consultation activities that are taking place at a city level.

The resources section of the website has two things that may be useful to you. The website compliance checker can be downloaded and used to audit your school wesbite. The Student Wellbeing Resource provides information about a range of barriers that children and young people may face. Each section provides an overview of the barriers, some best practice advice, and links to available resources and local provision.
