Festival News: change to the Create Sheffield session

Published: 17 September 2020
The session this afternoon about the role of creativity in COVID recovery has now been added as pre-recorded content and will not now take place a live online session. We would like to thank Sophie Hunter and colleagues at Create Sheffield for providing this despite unavoidable changes to the circumstances. Participating schools can now access the resources via the website. Over two videos, Sophie offers practical support for arts and creativity in the recovery curriculum, in addition to discussing its role and value and how Create Sheffield can support. If you have follow up questions you can contact Create Sheffield at contactus@createsheffield.co.uk.

The recording of the sessions from this week are being added to the website so that they are available for participating schools to view. This includes a session for leaders from Sir David Carter, a session on early reading and phonics from colleagues at the English hub and an update on EEF guidance from Huntington Research School.

We are looking forward to our final live session of the this week at 12:00 today. How your local Science Hub can support your COVID recovery planning will be presented by Tim Clark and Jenni Monnach from the Science Learning Partnership at Hallam TSA and will discuss how our local science hub and the STEM network can support COVID recovery in science across both primary and secondary.

Everything you need to access the festival can be found on the COVID Recovery Festival website, including links to access live sessions, recording of completed sessions and any session materials and presentations. You will need to log in to access everything that is available and if you want to access the festival but haven’t had your subscription meeting or requested/received your login yet then please let me know asap.
