The rearranged date for the Sheffield Governance Conference (originally scheduled for Saturday 3rd March) is Saturday 30th June, 9.30-12.30pm at Sheffield Institute of Education, SHU, Charles Street Building, S1 2ND.

Sheffield Governance Conference - 'Governance Stocktake'

A conference to take stock of the responsibilities, challenges and opportunities involved in education governance now and in the future. 

How can high quality governance ensure that every child recieves a world class education?

Keynote Speaker: Mary Myatt- a highly respected education adviser, writer and trainer. She spends time in schools talking to pupils, teachers and leaders about learning, leadership and the curriculum. She maintains that there are no quick fixes and that great outcomes for pupils are not achieved through tick boxes. She is working with senior leaders on the link between educational values and high standards, and her book 'Hopeful Schools' and 'High Challenge, Low Threat' have inspired school leaders across the country.
