Autumn Leaders' Briefings - Booking Open

Booking information for the first (Friday 9th November) and second (Thursday 13th December) Leaders' Briefings of the year have been published.

These briefings are aimed at School Leaders from all phases and sectors.  This programme is included within the Learn Sheffield subscription and subscribing schools can book two tickets at any of briefings at no additional cost. For non-subscribing schools each session will be charged at £95 per person unless otherwise stated.

The first School Leaders’ Briefing for this year is taking place at Sheffield Hallam University, Owen Building, Peak Lecture Theatre, Howard Street, Sheffield, S1 1WB on the morning of Friday 9 November 2018 (8.30-10.30am). 

The keynote speakers are Jane Elsworth (Director of Huntington Research School) & John Doyle and Mark Sheikh (Sheffield City Council). Jane will be providing an item on Metacognition and Self-Regulated Learning whilst John and Mark will be talking about the National Funding Formula.

The second School Leaders’ Briefing for this year is taking place at Sheffield Hallam University, Cantor Building Lecture Theatre, Arundel Street, Sheffield, S1 2NT on the morning of Thursday 13th December 2018 (8.30-10.30am). 

The keynote speakers are Julie Watson (Assistant Director of Huntington Research School), Greg Fell (Director of Public Health) & John Doyle and Dr Girish Vaidya (Sheffield Children's Hospital Clinical Director). Julie will be providing an item on Memory and pupil outcomes whilst Greg and Girish will be talking about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

As you will have realised both of the Autumn briefings this year are taking place in the second half term. This was to avoid the first briefing being in the same week as the SEND conference this week.
