Learn Sheffield have issued a press release and published the report from the peer review that was carried out in May 2018. The review was led by Christine Gilbert and colleagues from Camden Learning and Birmingham Education Partnerships.
Fair Funding Campaign Launches Petition

A petition has been launched to ask the government to find additional funding for education and use some of that additional funding to target areas like Sheffield, which are not receiving a fair share currently.

Learn Sheffield Leaders' Briefing - THIS WEEK

New Commission Added - BRIGHT Trial

Tooth decay is very common in young people living in deprived areas and often leads to toothache, loss of sleep, problems eating and time away from school. One of the most effective ways of preventing tooth decay is regular tooth brushing. BRIGHT will remind pupils to brush their teeth. BRIGHT will raise awareness of the impact of poor oral health and promote good oral health.

Opportunity - P4C Pilot from DECSY

DECSY is looking for 2 teachers per school, preferably secondary phase to participate in piloting teaching materials on ‘Using Philosophy for Children (P4C) to build understanding and critical thinking about extremism and terrorism for pupils aged 9 to 13’. These materials have been developed by teachers and consultants in response to the Manchester bombings and murder of Jo Cox.
